We understand that while children will want to make the most of these services, they also need to understand the importance of protecting themselves, their online identifies and their reputations. We have taken on board the safety advice issued by the Home Office ‘Social networking good practice guidance’.

Simple are aware of the potential risks to children and young people using social networking and other interactive services, this is why we moderate all of our blog comments, and nothing will be posted that could be considered inappropriate. We have also made steps to obtain parental consent for any users of Teen Simple under 13 years of age.

We have developed our own Teen club Rules that you can visit to understand more about child internet security.

Kids Privacy Policy
Simple is dedicated to protecting the privacy of it's members and handling any personal information it obtains from members with care and respect. For citizens in the US the Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 1998) rules apply to industries who knowingly collect personal information from children.

Although COPPA is present is the US there are currently no stamped regulations on child internet safety in the UK. What does exist is the Data Protection Act 1998, which makes no distinction based on age. However, the Home Office Task Force for Child Protection Internet have published ‘Good practice guidance for providers of social networking and other user interactive services 2008’. The Home office has strongly urged industry providers, parents and carers to take note of the safety tips provided in this document. Further details can be found here:
