Warm up Read more
A warm up should feature Dynamic Stretching which means getting the heart-rate up and mobilising the muscles and joints through movements that mimic the exercises ahead. It's as much about mental preparation as it is physical. Each stretch should be repeated 8 - 10 times.
Help avoid blocked pores and keep blemishes at bay while you exercise by cleaning off your make-up beforehand. Keep a packet of wipes in your gym bag - what could be simpler?

Full Body Attack Read more
Circuits are the best way to make the most of a short exercise window because they get your heart pumping and work every muscle in your body. Circuits increase your cardio vascular fitness, burn calories and boost your resting metabolic rate (the rate at which your body utilises energy and burns fat post work out).
High intensity of circuit training means you will sweat like never before! Sweating can help purge your skin of impurities, leaving it clean, clear and able to breathe.
Fabulous At Forty Read more
Weight training is shown to help maintain and build up bone mass which is especially important as from your 30s onwards we begin to see a gradual loss of bone mass. Resistance machines found at the gym are highly recommended to contend with this degeneration because they offer support as well as resistance. However, using a basic, straight backed chair and dumbbells is a great alternative at home.
Not only will you improve your respiratory system, enabling you to improve on daily aerobic activity (shopping, playing with the kids / grandkids) but exercises that produce muscle will encourage the flow of essential oxygen and nutrients to the skin. This creates the ideal environment for skin, making sure it has everything it needs to help produce collagen and improve barrier strength - so that it looks and feels its healthy best.
