Our best night-time skincare routine
Ah, home! After a long day, there’s nothing quite like kicking off your shoes, and cosying up on the sofa with a hot cup of tea. We know every minute counts when it comes to your evening, and our night-time skincare routine is speedy enough to slip easily into even the busiest of schedules. These tips form a daily skincare routine at home that will get you perfectly prepped for your beauty sleep. Wake up to skin that feels healthy, happy, and rested when the alarm clock goes off.
Double cleanse away your day
What’s more refreshing than cleansing the daily impurities from your face? Cleansing twice, right? Sounds like a chore but trust us, your skin will love you for it - and it’s so easy to slot it into a simple night skincare routine! This two-stage face washing process starts with a cleanser (usually oil-based) to dissolve make-up and dirt, followed by a second wash, to deep clean skin. The cleaner your skin, the less irritation make-up can cause, and the quicker your toner, eye cream, and moisturiser can absorb and get to work (now we’re talking!).
Once or twice a week, try adding it to your daily skincare routine at home. So, you can go to bed happy, knowing your skincare is working hard on its nightshift.

Massage in your moisturiser
Once you’ve cleansed, warm up a little moisturiser between your fingertips (it helps it smooth on a treat!), and massage it into the skin in small, circular motions, working from the centre of your face, outwards. This helps to increase circulation bringing oxygen to cells, for skin that's good to glow. The best night creams? Look for ones like Simple Water Boost Skin Quench Sleeping Cream, which is refreshing, soothing, and full of skin-loving ingredients like *PENTAVITIN® (the super-hydrating plant extract).

Soothe tired eyes with a night eye cream
Ever noticed your eyes are tired, puffy, or red at the end of a long day? Tiredness, and staring at your computer screen or smartphone for long periods (we know, that Insta feed’s not going to scroll itself!), can all trigger these symptoms. Adding an eye cream to your night-time skincare routine not only relieves the symptoms of tired eyes, it helps protect and replenish the delicate skin around the eyes too. Simple Kind to Eyes Soothing Eye Balm will help to relieve puffiness, so you can wake up looking like you’ve had a good night’s sleep.
Quick tip: Apply it before your moisturiser so the lightweight formula can get to work fast, without having to work its way through your night cream first!

Sleep soundly while your night skincare works
Did you know: sleeping on a silk pillow case can help keep skin hydrated overnight? Skincare routines aren’t just for the waking hours. Silk helps keep moisture close to your skin, and its natural fibres help to minimise pressure on delicate skin, too. The result? Redness, puffiness, and sleep creases are all just a bad dream. And it’s not just your face that’ll feel the benefit. Silk keeps hair feeling super-soft while minimising frizz, thanks to its smooth friction-free surface (so that’s bye-bye bedhead!).
Change your pillow case on the regular to keep your freshly-cleansed skin away from sweat, bacteria, and dirt. Breakouts be gone!
With our simple night skincare routine, you’re just a few fuss-free steps away from prepping skin for that all-important beauty sleep, for vibrant, healthy-looking skin when you wake.
